“Beyond the pirouettes and hand-painted sets, this is a story of resilience and kindness, proving that goodness and friendship can overcome adversity when we find strength in our community.”

Ventura County Ballet To Present Sensory Friendly Snow White on May 16

Excitement is building and tickets are going fast for Ventura County Ballet’s Sensory Friendly Performance of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs on Saturday, May 16, at 11:00 am at Rancho Campana Performing Arts Center.in Camarillo. Final costume fittings are done, props are painted and dancers are polishing their pirouettes, leaps and pantomime.

We’re so proud to present the first sensory friendly live ballet performance in Ventura County and one of just a handful in SoCal. With the house lights kept on low, modified sound, “No Shush” and relaxed entry/exit policies, and a sensory break area, it’s a safe, welcoming environment for those with autism or other sensory, physical, cognitive or emotional challenges. It’s also a great way to introduce young children to live theater.

Thanks to our grant from VibeWell, all tickets are just $5.00 plus a $2.18 online fee. Donated tickets are also available to organizations that serve families with special needs.

Snow White features international ballet stars plus 40 talented local dancers, beautiful hand painted sets, hundreds of colorful costumes and glorious music. It’s a wonderful story of kindness, resilience and how goodness and friendship can overcome adversity and inspire others. The story advocates hope, courage and finding strength in community. It is perfect for all ages.

Doors open at 10:15 am to the lobby where guests can visit the Touch Table or take a picture with a dancer. Guests will also receive a free Snow White’s apple squishy. Specially trained Kindness Ambassadors will be on hand in the lobby and auditorium. There is also an online “social story” pre-visit guide to help guests prepare for their experience at Snow White.
